Global laboratory relocations firm aport has appointed a new sales manager to work with existing and potential customers to promote its wide range of services and unique approach.

Tom Wickstead joins the team after previously working in business development for aport’s sister firm, relocations company Andrew Porter Limited.  His professional experience also includes a role as an associate within a London-based investment management firm.

Tom’s responsibilities will include ongoing customer support and liaison and identifying opportunities for business growth.  aport is a specialist in the management of complex and business critical laboratory relocation requirements including end to end project management, all of which is performed to industry recognised GxP standards.

Tom commented: “I am looking forward to being a part of the continual growth of aport over the years to come, in particular helping its outstanding laboratory relocation services continue to develop and serve more clients throughout the globe.”

Managing director of aport, Tim Aspey, said: “Tom is a natural people person and we are confident that our clients – both new and existing – will find his can-do attitude a pleasure to deal with.

“We are delighted to welcome Tom to the team and we are all very excited to push forward with our plans for growth.”

Aport’s head office is in the UK and the firm also has bases in North America and Singapore.  Some of the firm’s diverse range of recent projects include a cleanroom relocation for the European Space Agency, a major relocation for an OEM in North America, a multi-departmental relocation of a large laboratory in Abu Dhabi, and several key projects for big pharma clients throughout the world.
