Our expert team has established relationships with a number of original equipment manufacturers (OEMS) to deliver their products to laboratories both within the UK and all over the world. Many OEMs use large logistics firms or standard courier services to transport their laboratory instruments but this can cause problems.
At Aport, our staff have extensive experience in handling sensitive scientific equipment and are familiar with following strict handling protocols. Logistics companies without specific knowledge of working within this sector are often unaware of the level of care which needs to be taken when moving valuable instrumentation from one location to another.
Our crews are given intensive in-house training so they understand how to handle delicate equipment in line with OEM protocols. Our specialist vehicles include lifting and carrying equipment and tracking devices so we can monitor the progress of their journey.
Aport will keep your customers informed of the status of their delivery at all stages of the process so they always know where their equipment is.
And, unlike many standard delivery companies, we will ensure equipment is delivered, not just to the building, but to the laboratory benchtop where it will be used. This means customers don’t have to worry about getting staff to move items without training in lifting and handling.
Our two-man white glove delivery service (four-man for larger items) includes unboxing the equipment from the crate and placing it onto the benchtop ready for installation. We will also ensure all packaging materials are removed and recycled by our crews to minimise the inconvenience and disruption caused by the delivery.
